Being a healthy teenager

Good nutrition is critical during teenage years to support healthy growth and development. A healthy diet needs to meet the changing nutritional needs of a growing teen and importantly, helps prepare them for a lifetime of healthy eating behaviours.

During these years of adolescence, teenagers have a faster growth and development

So nutrition is most required in this stage of a teenager's life. Different nutrients like protein,carbohydrates,vitamins,minerals etc are needed for the body to cope with growth and development or your child can be a victim of malnourishment,type 2 diabetes and many more deficiency diseases.

Fitness, I am very sure that some of you might be thinking that just nutrition isn't enough but there should be fitness too! Yes that is very true , a teenager on an average should work on his body for 60 mins and should stay fit.

Atleast if he/she is not able to train or maintain his/her their fitness due to any reason

Here are some ways to maintain fitness easily:

  • Try staying very active in your school or home

  • Try walking around 12000 steps (suggested by WHO) per day.

  • Try lifting water bottles as a weight

  • Try to do pushups on bed or wall

Fitness are two important things which you need to remember in your teenage

because taking in proper ammount of nutrition is equally important to staying fit.
